Grounding Presence

Context

Our thoughts have a tendency to wander into the past and future, away from the present. If this happens when we perform, we are often taken away from our best ability to perform in that moment. Being fully present enables a solid mind body connection that allows our skills to come out naturally.

Outcome

Recognize the importance of presence,
Have a strategy for grounding to bring us back to the present moment.

What difference do you notice in yourself when your focus is on the present versus on the past and future?
If we are thinking about the past, what sort of feelings/thoughts come up?
If we are thinking about the present, what sort of feelings/thoughts come up?
